Who we are?
Your data will be processed by Maratona Urbana Lda., legal entity no. 515855405 (hereinafter referred to as Ey Lisbon GuestHouse | Hostel).
Maratona Urbana Lda is responsible for the processing of your personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).
Why do we process your information?
Your personal data may be collected and processed by Maratona Urbana Lda for the following purposes:
a) To comply with legal obligations to which Maratona Urbana Lda is subject, namely communications to the Foreigners and Borders and Billing Services.
b) For the purposes of executing the Temporary Accommodation Contract for Tourists or the Local Accommodation Management Contract entered into with Maratona Urbana Lda, namely payment transactions, entry and exit management, guest management, deposit blocking, provision of services complementary to the stay such as cleaning, transfers and breakfast or grocery service, management of contractual obligations or for the purposes of pre-contractual due diligence.

c) For the purposes of contact via email, mobile communications, digital platforms, within the scope of Maratona Urbana Lda's marketing strategies, commercial and contractual information and communications, as well as for information requests.

d) For the purposes of protecting assets owned or in the custody of Marathon Urbana Lda, as well as for the purposes of statistical analysis.
Failure to provide personal data for the purposes set out in paragraphs a) and b) implies that Maratona Urbana Lda is in breach of legal obligations imposed on it and consequently the possibility of terminating the Temporary Accommodation Contract for Tourists or the Hotel Management Contract. Local Accommodation concluded, without the right to any compensation, as well as a deficient supply of services by Maratona Urbana Lda that cannot be attributed to it.
What type of personal data do we collect?
As part of its activity, Maratona Urbana Lda will collect and process personal data necessary to provide contracted services, requests for information or pre-contractual management, namely identification, contact, banking or payment card data.
Why do we process your information?
The processing of your personal data will be carried out based on the execution of the Temporary Accommodation Contract for Tourists, the Local Accommodation Management Contract and in compliance with legal obligations imposed on Maratona Urbana Lda, namely by legislation on matters of Entry, Stay and Exit of Foreigners in the National Territory and tax legislation (article 6.1 paragraph b) and c) of the GDPR).

Additionally, personal data collected for the purposes set out in subparagraph c) of the previous point are based on the consent you have given to Maratona Urbana Lda for the respective processing (article 6.º no. 1 subparagraph a) of the GDPR).

For the purposes set out in subparagraph d) of the previous point, Maratona Urbana Lda will process personal data, based on the legitimate interest it pursues (article 6.º no. 1 subparagraph f) of the GDPR).
How long do we keep your information?
Without prejudice to legal, regulatory provisions or judicial determination to the contrary, the personal data collected will be kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that motivated their collection or subsequent processing.
To whom can we transmit your personal data?
Marathon Urbana Lda may have to share some of your personal data with other recipients. These recipients include:

a) Organizations and/or companies affiliated with Maratona Urbana Lda as long as they respect an equivalent policy on the protection of personal data.
b) Public Entities to which Marathon Urbana Lda is legally obliged to provide information, namely, the Foreigners and Borders Services and the Tax Authority.

c) Subcontractors who provide certain services related to your personal data under the cover of a subcontract and for the sole purpose of providing technical assistance to Marathon Urbana Lda. These include, in particular, website hosting providers, email service providers, mail marketing, cleaning service companies, law firms, accounting companies and insurance companies.

 

d) For the purposes of protecting assets owned or in the custody of Marathon Urbana Lda, as well as for the purposes of statistical analysis.

Are my data transferred to countries outside the European Union?

Your personal data, collected by Maratona Urbana Lda, will not be transferred to any entity established outside the territory of the European Union.

Exceptionally and under certain conditions, Maratona Urbana Lda may transfer your personal data to countries outside the territory of the European Union, in accordance with applicable legislation, namely for the purposes of data hosting or storage, technical subcontracting of processing, backup and recovery of hosted data, development of services.

Marathon Urbana Lda assures you that it will not provide your personal data to countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of protection, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.

What are my rights?

At any time, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, as well as its rectification or erasure, limitation of the processing carried out, the right to object and the right to data portability.

If the requests presented are manifestly unfounded or excessive, particularly due to their repetitive nature, Maratona Urbana Lda may demand payment of a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communications, or taking the requested measures or refuse proceed with the request.

Regarding personal data whose processing by Maratona Urbana Lda is legitimized in consent, you are granted the right to withdraw consent, without the exercise of such right being able to compromise the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on previously given consent, nor the processing subsequent use of the same data, based on another legal basis, such as compliance with the contract or legal obligation to which Maratona Urbana Lda is subject.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission.

Security and Confidentiality

We are committed to keeping your data safe, which is why we apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk of keeping your personal data on file. However, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure, and we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of information transmitted through our website.

We also respect the confidentiality of your information. As such, we do not sell, distribute or otherwise make your information commercially available to third parties. Marathon Urbana Lda is committed to keeping your information confidential in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation.

Marathon Urbana Lda will not be responsible for any inconvenience beyond its control or for events that may arise as a result of an accident or force majeure. If such an event puts a stay at risk, Maratona Urbana Lda will take all necessary measures to relocate the guest(s) to a room with similar characteristics or make a refund proportional to the remaining days. Complaints made after check out will not be taken into consideration and, therefore, the customer will not be entitled to claim compensation.
